Who am I?

Hello!

My name is Dominika - welcome to my blog; be your (s)health

If you're wondering what (on earth) is this all about, visit the page entitled just that.

In a nutshell: it's about being yourself to keep healthy and happy.

To grasp a better sense of who I am (god help you!), I present you with a few fascinating facts:

  • Although I work in arts marketing, health and fitness has captivated me since I did a University placement at the British Liver Trust - this also inspired me to do my final year dissertation on the stigma of liver disease (watch this space!)
  • I am addicted to fitness classes; aerobics being my absolute favourite (mainly because I can let myself go and be my (s)health!)
  • Being Polish, it is very apt that the first part of my surname (Karp) is a traditional Polish fish.
  • I am known for coming out with weird and wonderful food facts (for example, did you know that eating fruit straight after your dinner turns it into fat? FACT).
  • Speaking of food, my love affair with peanut butter will never end.
  • When I was a toddler, I was so hyperactive that my family friends thought my parents had two children (my poor mum).
  • I think the mantra 'feed the mind' is so true and wish more people would follow it.
  • My bike is my best friend (except when it rains).
  • Hula hoops are not just for skinny girls.
  • When I'm feeling down, I just listen to this and it reminds me what is important again:
